It's the most popular massage in Ayurveda, a traditional Indian system of medicine that focuses on maintaining health through natural practices like massage and diet. Stress can negatively affect the autonomic nervous system and reduce heart rate variability. Low heart rate variability indicates higher stress levels, while high variability indicates relaxation.
